Hydrogen Peroxide

In the 1990’s. Jim Mackie and Julian Couch worked on just about every fish farm in Scotland  as well as sites in Ireland, Canada and the USA developing methods and equipment to deliver safely and effectively hydrogen peroxide to remove sea lice from farmed salmonids.

Development was totally hands on, working with site managers and workers as well as calling on the expertise of specialist fish vets, engineers and tarpaulin manufacturers. We worked with sea temperatures ranging from 0.5°C to 18°C

Their aim was simple - make a delivery and treatment  regime that was simple, inexpensive but highly effective while being safe to the fish, the environment and farm workers. We applied for and were granted veterinary licences in the UK, Ireland, Canada and the USA. - more countries than any other manufacturer of peroxide.

Jim and Julian still collaborate on projects and are currently working with fish farmers and well boat owners developing new methods for  the safe use of hydrogen peroxide as a practical sea lice treatment in well boats and the bigger net pens.

We are supplying hydrogen peroxide from the same manufacturing plant as we did in the 1990’s. We provide technical experience as required.

Below are some photos from the 1990’s.  We have moved on from those experimental days!
